My son Dante had just turned 2! I really can’t believe how time flies so fast. Dante is now learning how to express himself by using words. He is also learning how to socialize with friends. Also, Lightning McQueen is his favorite character! Lately, he has been very fascinated with cars and motor vehicles. It is so cute to hear him say the names of the different kinds of transportation.
Because of his love for cars, we decided to give him a Lightning McQueen- Themed Birthday Party! Check out our photos from my son’s birthday party for tips and ideas!

Lightning McQueen Party Setup
Baby Academy is a play school and daycare in Siena, Italy. They also host birthday parties for kids of all ages. We decided to get the all-in-one birthday package. For 250 euros, the teachers of Baby Academy will set up a party for twenty guests. This already includes the rent of the venue, the food and drinks, the party setup, the games, and the birthday cake!
Ka-Chow! It’s Party Time!
We really liked the way the staff of Baby Academy set up Dante’s party. The invitations, paper plates, cups, and napkins all had “Lightning McQueen” designs on them. Check out these cute “Rust-eze Bumper Ointment” labels on the drink bottles.
They set up a coloring work station for the kids where they can color their favorite Cars characters. The teachers glued small coloring sheets on the table cloth which I think was a smart idea.
The teachers created cars made of cardboard as part of the “car race” game. Check out the real tire! Samuel enjoyed going in and out of it.
The party lasted for three hours. We were so thankful that our friends came even though it was raining outside. I am glad that we decided to do our party indoors!
Overall, the party was a success. I left the party planning to the professionals! Lately, I have learned that it’s totally okay to ask for help. I don’t have to do everything by myself. Sometimes it’s best to leave the party planning to the experts. Everyone had fun and had a good time. Most importantly, our birthday boy was very happy! It was a joy to see the smile on our birthday boy’s face.
