Green Canyon Leisure Farms is an eco-conscious (and dog-friendly!) resort conveniently located just outside Manila. Last month, we visited our family in the Philippines. We wanted to escape city life and have a relaxing staycation. Because we were traveling with small children, I wanted to go somewhere not too far away from the city. My dad treated us to a lovely weekend retreat at Green Canyon Leisure Farms. Read about our fun farm adventure!

I was NOT paid to write this review. All opinions are my own.

If I had only known in advance, we should have brought our dog Yakuchi along with us! Dogs are welcome in this hotel. It was actually my first time to check in a pet-friendly hotel in the Philippines. Check out this sign I saw in the hotel lobby:

Our Room

Sammy enjoyed staying at our twin bedroom!

Our airconditioned twin bedroom was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. There was a small refrigerator with a mini bar. There was an electric kettle with sachets of coffee and tea. Inside the bathroom, there were basic shower items (shampoo, soaps, toothbrushes, and toothpaste). They offered free Wi-fi and was available all throughout the resort.

Facilities and Amenities

Swimming fun with mama, Aunt Hershey and Nonno Rey

We all had a fun time swimming in their clean and well-maintained pools. The shower areas were also clean and sanitized. The wave pool has big artificial waves which can be a bit overwhelming for little children. So we only stayed there for a while. The children only swam in the narrow part of the pool with the smaller waves. We spent more time swimming in the anahaw pool. It had a shallow part for little children (about two feet). There were also floaters available that you could use for free.

The Restaurant

At the garden entrance leading to the restaurant. Sammy can’t wait to go!

Green Canyon Leisure Farm’s restaurant had a variety of Filipino and international dishes, with fresh produce straight from their organic farm. For dinner, we tried their Pampanga-style sisig, which was so tasty. Their Filipino-Italian four-cheese pizza was good. Their fresh mango shakes were very good and refreshing. We enjoyed dining at the veranda which was overlooking the mountains and the farm.

Breakfast was buffet-style and had a variety of Filipino dishes as well as American food. We were provided with very good service and we had a great dining experience.

What To See

Crossing bridges together

We saw a hanging bridge, a small river, and the surrounding gardens. There were golf carts with drivers that took us from one spot to another. It was a very convenient way to go around, especially with a senior citizen and two small children.

Green Canyon Leisure Farms

Green Canyon Leisure Farms is quite close to Dinosaurs Island Pampanga. After checking out on Sunday morning, we drove to Dinosaurs Island. Now read about our dinosaur adventure!
