Palmer’s Massage Cream for Stretchmarks and Skin Therapy Oil Review

Did you get any stretch marks during and after pregnancy? For my first pregnancy, I used Palmer’s Massage Cream. I was so diligent in using Palmer’s every night, and I swear I did not get a single stretch mark on my tummy.

However, on my second pregnancy, I was not as consistent in keeping up with this beauty routine. I ended up with stretch marks on the sides of my tummy (a.k.a. love handles). So now I’m using it post-pregnancy to help reduce them ( I know they won’t be gone 100% and that’s okay #tigerstripes). The cocoa variant smells a little bit like Yakult (the Japanese yogurt milk drink) and so I was excited to try out their Skin Therapy rosehip oil version. I personally love the rosehip oil variant because of its scent. It also does not feel sticky and it gets absorbed by the skin right away (perfect for the humid weather in the Philippines).

Which products did you use to help reduce stretch marks? Have you tried other brands like Mustela and Bio Oil? Share in the comments below!

X,

3 Locally-made Lippies I Used When I Was Pregnant

If you are pregnant or nursing, you probably are wondering if wearing makeup (especially lipstick) is still considered safe for your baby. If you are like me who want to look pretty (especially with the expected weight gain of pregnancy) without feeling guilty of harming your baby, then this blog post might be able to help you.

While some women prefer to be cosmetics-free throughout the course of their pregnancy, I still chose to wear makeup for the whole nine months I had a bun in the oven. I’m going to be honest and say that I still use my Macs and Colourpops occasionally, but I chose to wear these 3 organic, local brands on a more regular basis. I did my research and found 3 Philippine-made lipstick brands that commit to being safe and free from harmful chemicals.

The 3 lippies I used (and still continue to use) when I was pregnant were:
Snoe Lipstick Rouge Delight in Mocha Madness X15, Kiss and Tell in First Kiss, and Human Nature Perfect Flush Cream Tint in Petal.

These shades work well with my Filipina skin tone. Check them out:

1. Snoe Lipstick in Mocha Madness:

This has a smooth velvety finish.

2. Kiss and Tell in First Kiss:
I like that it’s a liquid matte lipstick. Check out When In Manila by Hershey Neri for a more thorough review of Kiss and Tell in First Kiss!

3. Human Nature Perfect Flush Cream Tint in Petal:
This is a semi-liquid lipstick that doubles as a cheek tint.
